Architype founder—Andrew Brown

Andrew is a Red Seal cabinetmaker, an architectural technologist and a highly experienced project manager. He brings to your project a deep understanding of the construction industry, a passion for creative problem-solving and innovative design and an unapologetic commitment to the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Prior to launching Architype in 2018 Andrew worked with a wide array of millwork shops, from Vancouver Island to Prince Edward Island, in roles such as shop foreperson, plant manager and project manager.

Most recently he was Site Supervisor for the millwork contract during construction of the North Island Hospital Comox Valley.

Andrew’s unique combination of experience, craftsmanship and professionalism is unmatched in the Comox Valley. That, and his focus on careful design and planning, is what separates Architype from any other millwork shop.

Patti Holatko, Homeowner, Comox

“Andrew from Architype Millwork was fabulous to work with for the large renovation to our Spa Boutique. He was very honest and reasonable on what existing cabinetry could be salvaged and what needed to be replaced to get the beautiful classic look our designer wished for. His attention to detail and quality is noted by many customers that visit and I can’t say enough about how wonderful Andrew and Architype was to work with!”
